Here’s a couple of great videos of the Matlock beginners white water trip.
Firstly a big thanks you to Dan Bishop for running the course, a white water suitable for beginners and those wishing to improve.
It was a quiet morning, the Artists corner car park easy to find with perfect access to the launching point.
On initial inspection from the amateur point of view it looked nice and sedate, six impromptu swims later it is the perfect course to cut your teeth on. Big thanks to Charlotte for keeping count.
The course had three white water sections including a slalom course and the wonderfully named “killer rock”, all framed with the backdrop of soaring cliff sides and the cable cars above.
Totally enjoyable day and learned so much, really given me the need to tackle more white water.
